Virus!
I've been attacked! Two weeks I was away from home (the last time I went online at home was November 11). I came back last Saturday (November 22) only to find out my PC has a virus already. At Registry pa ang tinamaan! I can't even boot the thing up! *#@%!
There will be no updates in the mean time. Grabe, nag-lie low na nga ako sa pag-post sinabayan pa ng virus. McAfee failed on me. I will never use McAfee when I reformat my HD or better yet, buy a new one probably 160GB.
Haay...imbes na I can buy a new MP3 player from my 13th month pay, mapupunta pa sa harddisk. Paksyet talaga!
Just when I needed it most...

Tuesdays With Morrie on December 2
This I shouldn't miss. Even if I have to file a leave of absence for work I will do just to see this.
I cried the whole time when I read the book, and I fear I will cry when I see this live on stage.
Mitch Albom's non-fiction novel turned into a stage play starred by Repertory Philippines' Miguel Faustmann as Professor Morrie Schwartz and Bart Guingona who'll be playing Mitch Albom, under the direction of Baby Barredo.
This one night event will happen on December 2 at 8 PM at the OnStage in Greenbelt 1, Ayala Center, Makati City.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one. And bring those tissues.

EK on the 27th
We will be having our Year-End Site GA (General Assembly) at the Enchanted Kingdom on November 27, I'm so excited! (Sinabay sa Thanksgiving Day sa US so no calls! Yipee!)
2 reasons, first is it will be my first time (yes!) to go there. When I previously worked at the Laguna Technopark for a seatbelt and airbag manufacturer, araw-araw ko syang nadadaaan with the company bus to work. I dunno, maybe I was fed up with "Boom Na Boom" and "Star City" when I was a kid so I never really paid attention to Enchanted Kingdom.
Wow! Buong site ng Shaw, I am not sure with the other sites in Libis, PBCom and Alabang if they'll be coming in as well.
This will be fun! But of course, I must prepare those sun tan lotion and shades!

Florida's Hillsborough County swore in its first openly gay county commissioner, Kevin Beckner today as hundreds gathered to witness the historic event. It was reported to be the largest crowd for such an event. County Circuit Court Clerk Pat Frank said of the crowd, "They're welcoming change, so it is Obama-like." [TBO]

Sorry bakla lang, lasing pa!
NOTE: Some spoilers ahead.
I laughed out at this line, "Sorry bakla lang, lasing pa!" by Paolo Rivero's character in "Walang Kawala".
Agent J & I were able to watch this last night at Robinson's Galleria IndieSine of course.
The movie is great (of course it's a Joel Lamangan film!), though there were some pretty disturbing scenes mostly with Emilio Garcia's psychopathic scenes.
Going back to the Paolo Rivero-Joseph Bitangcol scene, I'm very sorry but that was very mean of "Waldo". I mean, what was he thinking?! Well, maybe he really loves "Joaquin" so he decided to be "best friends" with his housemate.
Nothing is more painful than a heart whose broken. Physical pains are pains, pero iba pa rin talaga pag puso na. And then the rejection and loneliness sinks in.
BTW, I noticed their house was the same house used for the movie "Roxxxanne". The front door and stairs are very familiar!
The best 'yung frontal ni Marco Morales (photo above), grabe binuyangyang talaga. I wonder if that frontal part was really shot along with the audiences at the gay bar. Hmm...nah I don't think so.
Aljur Abrenica was cute here, medyo *matigas* lang katawan nya, hehe!
Polo Ravales is also great here. I admire his acting. Hats off! Sexy as always and very nice butt!
Emilio Garcia's performance here was phenomenal. Very natural. There were times during the movie where I hated him like hell. Sobra.
The rest of the cast was ok I suppose. Another future addition to my Pinoy DVD collection. Yipee! I haven't got a copy of "Kambyo" and "Imoral" nga eh. But what about "Troika"? Attention!
Okay, off topic na. I'll give the movie 4 and a half out 5 popcorn bags. And yeah, one of the very few movies na pwede kong ulit-ulitin.

Outsourcing to ride out global gloom
A reason to cheer me up for a bit. I was a bit worried about the industry since the economic crisis in the US started.
But nah, I'm still looking forward to get out of the country before 2012.

David Archuleta debut CD
[ updated 11/18/2008 ]
Okay, the album leaked in the internet. So what? I actually got my share as early as Thursday last week. Darn, the whole album is great! I'll still keep my promise of buying the real CD whenever it's available here in Manila.
Any of you guys seen the CD yet in local stores? Don't have much time going out when the sun is at its peak. Good luck naman, logout ko sa office 2pm.
Anyway, here's the run down from my most to least favorite track on the CD.
UPDATE: Songs in red are bonus tracks from the CD
# 1 Crush - classic na to, need I say more?
# 2 A Little Too Not Over You - I love pop songs, I was born with it. Nyehehe!
# 3 My Hands
# 4 Running
# 5 Waiting For Yesterday - this song rocks!
# 6 Somebody Out There - I could melt on this one
# 7 You Can
# 8 To Be With You
# 9 Angels
# 10 Let Me Go
# 11 Touch My Hand
# 12 Works For Me
# 13 Falling
# 14 Barriers
# 15 Your Eyes Don't Lie
# 16 Desparate
# 17 Don't Let Go
I was hoping he'll be popping in "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton. I loved his rendition!
Overall, I'll give the CD 4.5 out of 5 spins.
Next week, it's David Cook's turn. We'll see.
Pahabol: Special thanks to Josh nga pala for the Lea Salonga Inquirer Special Edition MRT Ticket Card. Da best ka talaga!

Milk
Sean Penn (left) portrays the role of Harvey Milk (right)
"Milk" is a biopic of the first openly gay man to be voted into public office in America, Harvey Milk.
The movie premiered in the US last October 28.
Harvey Milk served almost eleven months as city supervisor and was responsible for passing a stringent gay rights ordinance in San Francisco. He was assasinated (with then Mayor George Moscone) on November 27, 1978 by Dan White, a former city supervisor. White was put on trial, imprisoned and was later given parole but took suicide in 1985.
Directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Psycho), and stars Sean Penn (I Am Sam, Mystic River), James Franco (Spider-man, Pineapple Express) and Diego Luna (Y tu mamá también, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights).
I have admired Sean Penn on "I Am Sam" and I am actually looking forward for "Milk" to be screened here in the Philippines (hopefully next year!).

Wow! The newly elected American President, Barack Hussein Obama II, 44th in the row will take the oath of office on January 20, 2009. And the first American President of African American descent.

Nice to see a hunk that sings! And I especially love the Cyndi Lauper "True Colors" sample on the first verse! Wow!
I'm lovin' this! The music video rocks! Check out below! (Damn, they used a different mix for the song!)

Warm Thoughts
"Whether you're by my side or we're far apart,
Warm thoughts of you remain in my heart."
This is what Agent J gave me on our 6th month-sary. Simple but very sweet and thoughtful. I hung it in our small room, where I can see it every time I wake up.
Waahh...naiiyak na naman ako..huhu! I half-cried seeing him leave for Binangonan to be with his parents & family aboard the FX last night at Chowking-Crossing. I miss him now already.
