1. Lovi Poe - Kung Pwede Lang
2. Lovi Poe - Every Little Step
3. Janet Jackson featuring Nelly - Call On Me
4. Jordan Knight - I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man
5. Freestyle - Half Crazy
6. Gary Valenciano - In Another Lifetime
7. Sitti Navarro - Para Sa Akin

LOVI POE - Kung Pwede Lang
I recently downloaded Lovi Poe's CD, and this one is my favorite (plus for the two previous tracks). It has a simple yet very meaningful lyrics but I really dig the melody.

LOVI POE - Every Little Thing
Despite the intrigues she's getting nowadays, I still love her hehe!

JANET JACKSON featuring NELLY - Call On Me
I haven't seen the video for this one, and wouldn't be able to download it either but I wish I could. Very catchy song from Miss Jackson.

JORDAN KNIGHT - I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man
This was a fave of mine years ago, I heard it recently on the radio and I can't hesitate to include it on my player of course!

FREESTYLE - Half Crazy
I also heard this on the radio and gosh, the memories came flying past me again. Oh well...

GARY VALENCIANO - In Another Lifetime
The theme song for the upcoming movie "Eternity" starring Dingdong Dantes & Iza Calzado and Mark Herras & Jennylyn Mercado. I actually let "Moments of Love" passed by and I guess I would have to do the same with "Eternity." Sobra na kasing mahal ng sine ngayon, LOLz

SITTI NAVARRO - Para Sa Akin
I got this track when I was searching for MP3 files on a computer unit at school. I've heard this Sitti Navarro over different MP3 forums but I have a vague idea of what her music sounds like. Now I know and her album is next on my download list, LOLz!

Jonalyn Viray at Brenan Espartinez Humakot ng Medalya sa World Championships of Performing Arts

Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 1 winner Jonaylyn Viray was awarded the Industry Award Female Vocal Solo for winning five gold medals in the recently concluded World Championships of Performing Arts which was held in Burbank California. The five golds came from the categories Broadway, Original, Pop, R&B and Variety. Jonalyn was also awarded Overall Champion Female Solo in Broadway, Pop and Original.

On the other hand, in the male vocal solo category, Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 1 2nd Placer Brenan Espartinez also grabbed 5 Gold medals for the categories Gospel, Original, Pop, R&B/Jazz and Variety. He was also awarded Overall Champion Male Solo in Gospel, Original, Pop and Variety (But not in R&B which is ironically, his specialty). He also got the Industry Award Male Vocal Solo.

Jonalyn and Brenan also bagged the the Industry Award for Vocal duet/trio and the over-all champion in the vocal duet/trio category.

In the group category, QTV 11’s Fanjam’s Cercado sisters grabbed the Industry Award for Group Vocals and Over-all champion in Pop, Broadway, Gospel and Original.

Jon Joven won the Gold medal in Broadway category and two silver medals for Pop and Opera and overall champion as male vocalist in the broadway category.

The Philippines won more than 50 medals this year, mostly gold.

It was another tremendous victory for the Filipinos in the World Championships of Performing Arts considering that we have only a few delegates compared to countries like Trinidad and Tobago, USA and South Africa which fielded more than a hundred. Last year we have only 2 delegates: Jed Madela and Rizza Navales and they’ve won 11 Gold medals, 1 silver medal, 3 Champion of the World plaques and a trophy for Jed for being the over-all Grand Champion for the Philippines. It was also the year when Fil-Am Hollywood actor Michael Copon was awarded an honorary achievement award. He even mentioned in his speech that he’s not only representing the USA but also the Philippines because he’s half-Filipino. Michael Copon was this year’s host for the awarding ceremony.

Congratulations also for the following Filipinos who also brought victory to our country: Rachel Alejandro, Faith Cuneta, Kim Flores, Jennifer Bautista, Dex de Rosa, Jeremie Antiporda, Juaquin Tungol, Bim Mangubat, Siblings, Angelo Ortiz, Glenn Cadampog and Rommel Luna.

Dinky Pluto loses its status as planet

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Pluto, beloved by some as a cosmic underdog but scorned by astronomers who considered it too dinky and distant, was unceremoniously stripped of its status as a planet Thursday.

The International Astronomical Union, dramatically reversing course just a week after floating the idea of reaffirming Pluto's planethood and adding three new planets to Earth's neighborhood, downgraded the ninth rock from the sun in historic new galactic guidelines.

The shift will have the world's teachers scrambling to alter lesson plans just as schools open for the fall term.

Special thanks to my co-mod for downloading this for me. Dahil dito sa song na 'to, nawala high blood ko kahapon gawa nung isang former member na nag-post about sa SONA article.

Anyway, I heard this one last weekend during the trailer of "I Luv NY" and I was like "shit, I gotta have that song!" and it wasn't that hard to find since paulit-ulit ang words na "mahal na mahal kita" sa song right?

Brenan Espartinez is a finalist of the first season of "Pinoy Pop Superstar."

1. Saliva - Rest In Pieces
2. Eric Benet - The Last Time
3. Ronan Keating - If I Don't Tell You Now
4. Neil Sedaka - Breaking Up Is Hard To Do [1975 Slow Version]
5. Inner Voices - All My Love
6. Julia Clarete - Bumalik Ka Lang
7. Brenan Espartinez - Mahal Na Mahal

SALIVA - Rest In Pieces
Another straight to the #1 spot on my list. This was my ID#8 last Saturday (August 5) when I heard it over NU Rock 107, I instantly liked it and I was lucky I was able to download it via Limewire, at school!

ERIC BENET - The Last Time
Taken from his 2005 CD "Hurricane," this was the audition piece of Giancarlo Magdangal on the Cebu leg of Philippine Idol. He's a former member of the group 17:28 and as soon as I heard him sing this song, I knew he'll be "in" the competition.

RONAN KEATING - If I Don't Tell You Now
This was my ID#9 also acquired last August 5 but on Mellow Touch 94.7. I knew this was a Ronan Keating since the voice is unmistakable. I was again lucky to get all of my 3 song IDs (#7-9) in one day (last Monday), unfortunately this one has a glitch towards the end of the song so I decided not to upload it. I'll try to look for a clean version soon.

NEIL SEDAKA - Breaking Up Is Hard To Do [1975 Slow Version]
I can't resist adding this up on my list. LOLz

INNER VOICES - All My Love
My song ID#7, took a really loooong time Googling up for this one, likewise on infos about the group. But the song is great though.

JULIA CLARETE - Bumalik Ka Lang
Finally I got the full album, but I only like a couple of tracks. This is a great carrier single for her and I wish her well on her recording career.

BRENAN ESPARTINEZ - Mahal Na Mahal
The love theme from the TV series "I Luv NY" sung by 2005 Pinoy Pop Superstar Finalist Brenan Espartinez. This song was on the top of my list last week.
