Our very own Ms. Lea Salonga, Tony Award-winner and international actress & recording star, was announced yesterday as one of the seven judges in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, according to the pageant organizers NBC, Donald J. Trump and Paula M. Shugart, president of the Miss Universe organization.
The rest of the judges are three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500 Helios Castroneves, U.S. broadcast legend Connie Chung, Brazilian supermodel Isabeli Fontana, actress & television producer Vivica Fox, Adrienne Maloof from Bravo's hit series "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and Miss Universe 2003 Amelia Vega of the Dominican Republic.

The pageant will be held on September 12 (morning of September 13 Manila time).
Andy Cohen, host of Bravo's "Watch What Happens: Live," and Natalie Morales, news anchor of NBC's "Today" will host the event.
