Ang Lihim Ni Antonio (Antonio's Secret)
I went to watch "Ang Lihim Ni Antonio" (Antonio's Secret) last Friday night at the Robinson's Cinemas with Josh.
Yep, first part of the movie very slow ang pacing. And the shaky camera shots were unnecesary.
But storywise, this is much better compared to Parola or even Sikil. The sceneries on 'Parola' were great though. But Lihim's storyline and script pierces through the heart. It really does.
Overall, the movie is great. I was a bit hesitant at first to watch this movie (if not for Josh Ivan Morales).
Acting is good as well, most especially for Shamaine Buencamino who plays Antonio's mother (Kenjie Garcia). I can almost see my mom through Antonio's mother's eyes. Well, that is a different story. This is the closest gay film that I can say I could relate to in terms of reality issues. The usual 'been there, done that' kind of stuff.
'Ang Lihim ni Antonio' is a film by Joselito Altarejos (Ang Lalake sa Parola) and screnplay by Lex Bonife (Ang Lalake sa Parola).
I'll defintely buy the DVD when it comes out. Oh, I really have to buy a DVD cabinet really soon. Tagal naman ng Troika. Hehe!
