I worked with Joey when he was in the Off Broadway musical Tick, Tick, BOOM! in 2001. He was a really sweet guy and gave me a cool Christmas present that year. Unfortunately, he also had some stalkers at the theater. Urgh.
I never told him that he was the first boy I ever had a crush on, which set me on the path to accepting that I'm gay. :)
