WOW! 8 Oscar® nomimations for the Sean Penn-Gus Van Sant film "Milk", a biopic on Harvey Milk, the first American openly gay man to be elected to public office.
"Milk" is nominated for Best Actor (Sean Penn), Best Director (Gus Van Sant), Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best in Costume Design, Best Original Score, Best Supporting Actor and Best Film Editing.
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" received a total of 13 nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor (Brad Pitt), Best Cinematography and Best Director.
While I stumbled upon the 3 Animated Films nominated this year, "Wall-E", "Kung Fu Panda" and "Bolt". All of which June & I was very fortunate to have seen and we both admired those great animated films. All of them deserves an Oscar®.
For the Best Actress in a Leading Role, it's neck to neck among Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married), Angelina Jolie (Changeling) {Wow! Husband and wife ba ito? LOL}, Melissa Leo (Frozen River), Meryl Streep (Doubt), and Kate Winslet (The Reader).

i've seen all these movies. they are all so good. it is hard to pick just one and the actors were so brilliant too.
I don't know if "Slumdog Millionaire" has been shown in the Philippines yet, but I believe it's the best movie of the year! You guys have to see it and you'll agree.
