Breaking The Surface - The Greg Louganis Story

I was very fortunate to download this video last August because I was looking for a copy for a long time already.

This is Greg Louganis' made-for-TV movie and stars Mario Lopez.

I think I first saw it on a TV broadcast a few years back and my mom would care less me watching it. Most probably because she has no idea who Greg Louganis is, but I do.

He once had an affair with E! Reporter Steve Kmetko.

There's only one movie left that I want to get, well at least before the year ends, and that is "Jeffrey" also an AIDS-gay theme movie. I've read the book and it almost tore me apart.

Greg Louganis is one of the few gay people that I admire.

Aww, what happened here Sam? You were kinda off in some parts of the song.

Trying a Gary Valenciano song is kinda hard, or should I say really hard! He's one of the greatest Filipino singers there is. Plus I cringe and woot everytime somebody else covers one of his songs. Heck, I am even not that impressed when Lea Salonga covered "Reaching Out" back in 1998.

The thing is, this version lacks emotion. Yes, the arrangement is contemporary but Sam's vocals here is like listening to a poem. He kinda stops on each end of the line.

I can't recognize the diva here on Sam's version, but Regine's backup vocals on Gary V.'s version is timeless.

Guys, anyone of you who has the MRT stored-value card of Lea for Philippine Daily Inquirer?

The ticket has the same image posted above. I don't know how I could get one, or if I really can get one just by dropping by at the counter and request for it perhaps? I really don't know and besides I don't ride the MRTs kasi.

If the card is already empty, much better. If it's new, then I'll pay for it na lang siguro.

A co-worker of mine promised he will give me his ticket when he's consumed the credits, but he misplaced the card. Or so I thought.

His name, Kapono is a Hawaiian word for "righteousness", his middle name Roque means "rocky" in the Philippine language while his last name, Kobylanski originates from the Polish city called "Kobylany".

But he's not only a mix of Philippine, Hawaiian and Polish genes but he's also part Irish, Scottish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Spanish. Blessed with diverse genes, Kapono's looks definitely stands out from the crowd, which also matched his friendly and amazing personality.
